About Me
“I’m worried my plan for ‘what’s next’ isn’t actually a plan.”
When I wrote that in my journal, I was 7 years into my career with a small agency.
In that time, the company had grown significantly — and was about to get a whole lot bigger.
I was comfortably uncomfortable; always stressed and always panicked.
But I was convinced that’s what having a full-time job was (especially an agency job) — and that anywhere else I went would be the same.
So I’d spent most of those years daydreaming about a different life. Entertaining ideas of running a B&B or selling jewelry at farmers markets.
These dreams felt like easy career changes — options that were way less demanding than corporate life.
But I was right: they were daydreams, not plans.
What’s that saying? “A goal without a plan is just a wish.”
Eventually, I got sick of daydreaming.
I was desperate for a new goal. But I figured my daydreams were too far-fetched.
It seemed best to focus on what I already knew.
So I strongly considered working my way up to the C-suite of that newly expanded +1,000-person agency.
Even though I knew, innately, that that was the complete opposite of what I really wanted.
But I almost convinced myself that I did want it.
For a few days, maybe a week.
Long enough to start thinking about how to make it happen.
And that’s when I finally listened to myself:
I was working toward someone else’s dream career.
Suddenly, leaving felt urgent. But I wondered, “Should I quit my job without another job lined up?”
I could finally admit what I didn’t want, but I still had no idea what I did want.
After spending 10 years heads-down in one industry…
How the hell do you decide — from scratch — what your brand-new career should be?
But after a whole lot of…
- Venting
- Quizzes
- Assessments
- Self-Reflection
- Chats with Mentors
I realized that I could actually trust my heart, my gut, and my mind to make the best decisions for me.
And I chose career transition coaching because I want you to trust yourself, too.
Certifications & Experience
Corporate Career & Business Coaching
I worked in all levels across my corporate career, from intern to exec:
I was an individual contributor, writing content & managing projects both internally & with clients. I was a manager, hiring, training, & leading multiple teams. I oversaw processes & tools for resourcing & PM. And I was an executive, helping to monitor & guide the direction of the company as it grew.
I bring that experience into business consultation, which is very rewarding. And, it showed me that feeling unfulfilled in a career that outwardly “should be” fulfilling is a strong sign to explore a major career pivot.
Certified Professional Coach (CPC)
Did you know that coaching is an unregulated industry? Anyone can say they’re a coach — no education or credential required.
But to me, that felt… gross. I didn’t want to be a coach without learning the industry standards for quality, ethics, and integrity. So I earned my Certified Professional Coach credential with the International Coach Academy (ICA). Between my corporate experience and this education, I’m a client-led career transition coach.
International Coaching Federation (ICF) Member
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) accredits institutions worldwide (including my program at ICA) to provide coach-specific training and certification. They’ve established and upheld high standards in an otherwise unregulated industry.
I became a member so that I could continue my coaching education and connect with other coaches who do the same.
